I am so glad you want to learn more about Us. Dawn’s story of becoming a published author is inspiring and one that every person with an unfulfilled dream can relate to. Her speaking events and signature talk inspire adults and children alike.

Along her journey, she met Cheri Cowell. Cheri and Dawn shared a lot of the same experiences. For example, before they met, they both published their first book in 2010. They both had experiences with traditional publishing houses and learned about self-publishing. 

The main thing they both have in common is their love for the Lord. “Erkamka na Adonai.” Cheri and Dawn are willing to serve God and go wherever He leads.

Over the next ten years, Dawn worked as a school principal and developed books about The Potter and His Vessels. She built a platform to help children and adults become vessels who serve, shine, and bear fruit for the Potter. Cheri built EA Books Publishing. She shared her expertise at writers’ conferences across the country and helped hundreds of authors publish their stories. 

In 2020, the school Dawn led closed, and she began to pray for a way to become a full-time author. Cheri began praying that God would provide a way for EA Books to continue beyond her. Both Cheri and Dawn joined The Advanced Writers’ and Speakers Organization (AWSA), and at their 2021 conference, they ended up sitting next to each other at dinner. As they listened to each other share, they knew God was at work answering their individual prayers.

It was just a few months later that Dawn contracted EA Books to re-publish her books, and Cheri offered her a job helping EA Books grow. In 2026, Cheri officially handed the reins of the company over to Dawn. As one of the Potter’s many vessels, Dawn and Cheri want you and your stories to bear fruit, serve, and shine.
