List of God's Promises and why they never align with your reality

List of God’s Promises. Do you compare your reality with the Potter’s promises?

Searching for a list of God’s promises? Are you struggling to find hope and purpose amid your own reality? You are not alone. In this article, we will explore a list of promises made by our Potter. We’ll consider His promises to Abraham, Job, David, Isaiah, and us. In each case, the reality of the circumstances did not align with what was promised. However, creation yields to the creator, and God’s promises defy nature.

So, take a moment to pause, reflect, and immerse yourself in the promises of your creator. Let’s dive in with Little Pot, Tea Pot, Oil Lamp, and Small Jar as they journey through a “Beautiful year in the Bible.” This week, we’ll consider a list of the promises of God.

Understanding the significance of God’s promises

We have the best intentions to carry out the things we promise. But, we often fail to keep our promises. Therefore, we think of God’s promises as just His good intentions. However, they are so much more. God cannot break a promise. Anything He says will come to fruition. His word is Truth. That is important to remember as we read the Bible.

Scriptures for God’s promises

  • Genesis 12-15
  • Romans 7-8
  • Joshua 16-20
  • Psalms 9-11
  • Job 7-8
  • Isaiah 18-22
  • Matthew 8-10

List of God’s promises to Abraham

This week, A Beautiful Year in the Bible begins with Genesis 12-15. In these verses, God makes a crazy and impossible list of promises to Abraham. He promised Abraham land, descendants, and blessings. These promises were ridiculously impossible based on Abraham’s age and his wife, Sarah’s. Therefore, God makes an everlasting covenant agreement with him when Abraham doubts them (as we all would). I love that God worked despite Abraham’s doubts and efforts to fulfill the promises of God.

You see, God’s promises have nothing to do with our efforts and abilities. They have nothing to do with the possibilities in our circumstances. They are always based on what God wants to do in, through, and with us.

Trusting in God’s promises during difficult times

This week’s other scriptures illustrate how David, Joshua, Job, and Isaiah all had to trust God’s promises when their circumstances did not align. It’s never easy. The Potter told Little Pot that He had a special plan for it. However, each time Little Pot was emptied, it worried. The Little Pot felt that the Potter’s promise depended on what it could hold. We do the same thing. We look at the Bible’s list of God’s promises and think we must help fulfill them. Just as Abraham did, we try to hurry God’s promises along. Yet, God’s promises are fulfilled in His time, not ours. We can always trust that what He has promised will happen.

A list of God’s promises to you.

One list of God’s promises is the fruit of the Spirit. God has promised that love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control will be produced through. These are not qualities that we can produce on our own. However, they will grow by surrendering to Christ, being humble, and planting God’s Word. Little Pot explains the process in seven steps.
