Growing your book from seed to shelf TO SOUND!

From Seed to Shelf to Sound: Sprout your Story with EA Audiobook Production.

Transform your written work into captivating audiobooks with EA Audiobook Production. From seed to shelf to sound, let your story bear fruit, serve, and shine.

There’s a beautiful moment when a story leaves the page and begins to speak. Audiobooks invite words to breathe, to move, to reach hearts in places printed pages sometimes cannot. At EA Books, we believe this step is more than a format—it’s a calling. It’s an opportunity to carry your message from seed to shelf to sound.

From Seed to Shelf to Fruitful Sounds

You are a vessel created to bear fruit. Just like The Little Pot— the Potter has planted something wonderful inside you. It is a story, a book, and a message that the world needs to hear. When you choose to create an audiobook, you allow your story to be fruitful in a new way. Your words are no longer limited to those who can sit and read; they can now travel with busy moms, weary commuters, and listeners seeking truth in the quiet moments of their day. Your story multiplies its impact, filling more spaces, nourishing more hearts.

Audiobook Production to Serve Listeners

Just like The Tea Pot—you are a vessel designed to pour out. Audiobooks embody this spirit of service so naturally. They meet people where they are: driving, walking, resting, or even in seasons where reading feels out of reach. A carefully chosen narrator will pour the words of your story into others. Through audio, your message becomes accessible, personal, and deeply human. It’s not just content—it’s connection.

Your Story Shines with EA’s Audiobook Production

And finally, we want you to shine like The Oil Lamp. Your story already carries God’s light, but audiobooks have a unique way of letting it shine even brighter. There is something powerful about hearing truth spoken aloud. Tone, pacing, and emotion illuminate meaning in a way that can pierce through distraction and settle into the soul. Your words can become a light in someone’s darkness, a reminder of hope, a whisper of truth at just the right time.

Inquiry, narrator selection, and contract.

At this step, please complete the audiobook inquiry form. From there, we will contact you and confirm that you have the audiobook rights for your book. Based on the word count and details you provided, we will tell you the cost to produce your audiobook. We will discuss your budget and expectations.

You will then provide us with a 3-5 minute narration script from your book. We will invite 2-3 professional narrators to audition and record the script you provided. Plan for 1-2 weeks. After that, we send you the recordings so you can select the narrator.

At this point, we confirm the quote and create a contract with your payment plan. We will send you the contract via email, where you can sign it electronically. Your contract will explain the payment options, and an email will include the specifics of your payment plan, including a secure ACH link. If you prefer to pay by credit card, just let us know. We can change the link to accept credit cards for an additional 3%. Once we see that you have set up your payments, we move to step two.

Project Set Up and Cover Art

Most of what happens at this step is at our end. We get busy setting up your audiobook in our project management system. We will have sent your narrator a contract and confirmed the production timeline. Your project sheet will include a schedule for the following steps. We will make sure we have the final manuscript and a copy of your book. Next, you will meet our audiobook director. He will work with you to create a high-resolution audiobook front cover that matches your print or eBook. We will use this to assign your ISBN.

Recording and Audiobook Production

At this step, you will meet the narrator. We will help you set up an Author’s Republic account. Then the recording begins. We use a technique called Punch and Roll. It allows us to correct mistakes immediately without stopping the recording process. It involves playing back audio before an error, automatically starting recording (“punching in”) at a chosen spot, and seamlessly continuing (“rolling”) to replace the bad take with a new one. The timeline is based on word count. If your book is 50,000 words, this step takes around 60 days. For 100,000 words, 90 days. For 150,000 words, 120 days. Once the narrator has completed an audio file, they send it to our Audio Production Manager.

Editing and Review

The Audiobook Production Manager then completes audio mastering. Who will then send you a first pass. You listen and give us feedback. It typically takes 3–7 days. We then take your feedback and complete pickups. Next, we ask for your final approval.

Finalize and Distribute

At this step, we finalize the metadata and format the cover to 3000 x 3000, and then upload the files to Author’s Republic. Distribution has been submitted and will take about 5-10 business days.

Project Complete

Lastly, we send you the final audio files and close your project. Having your book published as an audiobook is just the beginning. Marketing and promoting are ongoing. That is why we want to continue our relationship with you. Stay connected to our Published Author Facebook Group, follow our blog, and receive email updates. We are here to answer questions and offer a range of marketing services.

Why EA Audiobook Production is Your Best Choice.

At EA Books, we don’t just produce audiobooks—we steward stories. We walk with you through the process, helping your message to be faithfully and beautifully translated into sound. From casting the right voice to guiding production, we are here to ensure your story remains true to its purpose while expanding its reach.

If your story has already taken root and grown from seed to shelf, perhaps it’s time to let it be heard. Perhaps it’s time for your Little Pot to bear more fruit, your Tea Pot to pour more freely, and your Oil Lamp to shine even brighter.

Because some stories aren’t just meant to be read—they’re meant to be heard.
